Don Kurtenbach
Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer
A career spent in the business financial world had Don well-prepared to join the company in 1984. With a degree in Business Administration from Dakota Wesleyan University, he has served in public accounting with a Big Six accounting firm (Coopers & Lybrand), spent time as the controller for a division of Phillip Morris and been an independent accounting consultant. He began with Ellison Media as the controller, and held that title until being promoted to his current position. Besides being responsible for all daily financial operations of the company, he serves as a financial consultant to clients, helping them design and implement their accounting systems. Don is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Nebraska.
Barbara Griesman
Vice President, Media
Barbara joined the company in 1982. First serving in public relations, then acting as coordinator of all marketing activities for clients, she was promoted to her current position as head of the media department. She is responsible for the strategic development, negotiation and placement of millions of dollars in broadcast media buys for Ellison Media clients. Barbara represents the company at industry functions, including serving on the TV Committee for the National Religious Broadcasters. She has also served on two committees with American Women in Radio and Television. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Massachusetts.
Jay Griffin
Vice President, Marketing
A graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, Jay has served at the vice president level with five major U.S. companies and non-profit organizations over the past 25 years. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, database marketing (direct to consumer, direct to church, and business to business), book and magazine publishing, catalogs, product development, advertising and publicity, music publishing and organizational development. In his present role with Ellison Media Company, Jay assists clients with strategic planning and customer/donor acquisition through television, radio, Web and print campaigns.
Judd Jackson
Vice President, Business Development
Having spent the last 30 years working in Christian media, Judd produced programs, developed strategic plans, marketed products, raised funds, and managed fulfillment services with both in-house and outside service firms to help take the Gospel to remote parts of the globe. In addition to serving many national and international ministries as a staff member, and in an ongoing consulting capacity, Judd served as Chairman of the TV Committee for the National Religious Broadcasters and served as a Vice President on the Board of the Gospel Music Association. At Ellison Media Company, Judd serves as a research source for management and focuses on international development. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
